A true american rock band. Soberproof is a young band from southern Michigan that loves writing music and rockin' out! In case you missed the name, here's the breakdown. Dave on guitar is the whiskey and ice beer guy, Travis on bass likes whatever shot is there, on drums Halsey likes his liquor like he likes his women, and Scott with the vocals is a true captain.
With their variety of music rivaled only by it's originality, it's easy to see that Soberproof takes their inspiration from songwriters that range from Zakk Wylde and Eric Clapton to Marilyn Manson and Maynard Keenan. Soberproof has shared the stage at Planet Rock and is currently recording their first album. They love to rock and it shows not only through their music but they bring the party wherever they go!

Guitarist Eric Wynes and bassist Scott Swihart have been entertaining audiences in the greater Sturgis area as Phins Up for the past four years. Covering popular music from the 60s, 70s and 80s with their unique style of harmony they have become a mainstay in the local music scene. During a recent performance this past Summer they were reunited with drummer Tom Perry and the synergy was obvious. Check them out and have some fun ... they do.

Born at the beginning of rock and roll, Sweet Jonny Knox has gone on to perform in many local bands over the years, a couple touring bands back in the day and now performs as a one man band. I play only hits from yesterday. I mainly do private parties and clubs but in colder weather I play in bars/saloons. I'm local to this area and happy to play for your next event. I also write and record music in my spare time for other studios and artists. My favorite music is classic rock.

Fire & Rain is a folk-rock revival group performing classic hits from the 60s and 70s, along with the best of contemporary pop music. Vocalist Helen Datkovic, bass player Doug Camburn, drummer Pat Camburn, guitarist/vocalist John Polzin, and guitarist/sax player Tim Peterson are all long-time Sturgis area residents who derive a great deal of joy sharing the beautiful melodies, warm acoustic guitar tones, tight vocal harmonies, and classic song forms of the golden age of American music.

Delbert Walling has been a full time performer, instructor and corporate designer of musical products for over 40 years and yet he stays in touch with "The Big Now". Music is ageless and keeps the soul motivated and youthful! Delbert has been performing for dances, private events and city festivals for many years. He formed his current group in 1997 as a trio format. In 2011 Haley A. Smith joined his group. Haley is a world class vocalist and is a powerhouse on stage. Delbert and Haley often perform as a duo and together they have a real connection that is full of energy and excitement! The Delbert Walling Group, featuring Delbert, Haley, drummer David Lee Hackett and southern and mid Michigan's premier bassist, Peter Fair covers many genres and knows how to work with the audience to make each and every one of their performances a memorable experience!
Tom Hamilton grew up and developed an appetite for music during the “Classic Rock” era of the 1960s. This is the music that “rocked his world” during his formative years. As a result of that, Tom plays a lot of “Classic-Kickin’ Acoustic Rock”. Tom strives to keep his acoustic music interesting by playing songs in his own unique style. Check him out. I think you’ll like what you hear.
Si Bheag Si Mhor is the number one Irish band in Sturgis according the latest billboard charts of local music, and has held this honor for the last 15 years. Formally known as The Lads (which was too easy to pronounce and remember), we debuted at Welches Steak and Ribs in 1998, at which an attendance record was set, and have had a cult following, (primarily our families) ever since. We are an Irish-American band blessed with extremely talented musicians who play for the love of the music. Laura Miller, vocals tambourine, Phil Borkholder, vocals penny whistle, Eliot Gitelman, fiddle jokes (practice only), Marie Dysangco, flute goddess vocals, Ann Darrington, mandolin vocals, uncle Dave Taylor, bass vocals, Mike Collins, guitar and owns the PA. We are the largest band at the event, (symphonies don’t count in the band category) playing the widest variety of music. Songs written in the 8th and 16th centuries, as well the 1960’s. As the only Irish band at Sturgis Home Grown , we belong in the beer tent and are looking forward to returning to the Sturgis Homegrown Art and Music fest.
